The Maldives Explorer is a luxury dive liveaboard offering trips in the Maldivian Islands.
The Maldives Explorer is a luxury yacht that started operations in 2016. This yacht is very spacious with its 33.5 meters long and 10.5 meters wide.
The Maldives Explorer has 4 decks and can accommodate 16 people in 7 spacious guest rooms with comfort.
On the main deck, you will find a bar, a kitchen, both indoor and outdoor dinning areas, and a lounge area with a TV, music and WiFi.
On the upper deck is the bridge, the captain’s cabin and an outdoor deck with lounge chairs.
Finally, you will find a large sundeck (with and without shade) with comfortable sun loungers at the top deck. If you are looking for a little bit of privacy, a quiet corner to relax is never far away.
The Maldives Explorer is always accompanied by a spacious dive dhoni. This is the boat where all diving equipment, compressors and tanks are stored. During the filling of the tanks, the dhoni will move away from the mother ship, so people are not disturbed by the noise. The Maldives Explorer is just perfect for divers: space, comfort, experienced dive guides, good food and a pleasant service!
Please note that divers should be able to dive without help of an instructor. Our dive guides are there to guide, and for cases of emergency. Diving in the Maldives can be challenging due to strong currents. Therefore we advise a minimum dive experience of 40 logged dives and a minimum certification level CMAS, Padi Advanced or similar.
The Maldives Explorer has 7 spacious guest rooms and can accommodate 16 people maximum.
Every cabin comes with air-conditioning (individually adjustable) and a spacious and very clean bathroom with shower.
Cabins are cleaned on a daily basis and fresh towels will be provided during the cruise.
2 Double bed Cabins: Located on the upper deck and equipped with one double bed.
4 Twin Cabins: Located on the lower deck and equipped with two single beds.
1 large Cabin: Located on the lower deck and equipped with four separate beds that can be converted into two double beds.
3 dives per day depending on conditions.
No dive on the day of arrival.
2 dives provided on the day of departure for Ari trips and 1 dive for South trips.
Weights, weight belts and 12L or 15L tanks are included.
All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.
Nitrox: Available with additional cost (70EUR for 1 week).
15L tanks: Available, free of charge.
REBREATHER Dive: Not available at the moment.
Dive equipment rental: Available, rate on request, must be booked in advance.
Dive insurance: Divers traveling aboard must have a valid dive insurance.
Wi-Fi Internet: Available with additional cost.
Crew gratuities: Recommended 50USD for a trip of 7 nights.
