The Motor Yacht "Hans Christian Andersen" was built in 1972 in Holland. The initial idea was to create a luxurious sailing-ship for taking wealthy clients on cruises around the Caribbean. Subsequently the ship was converted into a modern style motor vessel serving as a training ship for a Danish navigation school. The ship was finally rebuilt in 2006 to serve as an adventure cruise ship, fitted with a new and more powerful engine and all modern navigation equipment.
With a length of almost 50 meters, the HCA has 20 crew which will welcome 46 passengers maximum on board.

A cruise on board the M/Y Hans Christian Andersen is for holiday makers of all ages. It is an ideal holiday for families with children as we sail from island to island in sheltered waters. For the more adventurous traveller, there are plenty of places to explore and things to do. We will be visiting secluded beaches and picturesque fishing villages; beautiful untouched places to explore, indulge in, or just plainly enjoy. A relaxed and unpretentious holiday atmosphere where you do not need to worry about dress codes.

Every day you will have the opportunity to go ashore where you can swim or snorkel or look for hidden places to explore. Our friendly guides will show you the local marketplaces, museums, or other places of interest. If you are looking for some healthy exercise, there is plenty of opportunity for this too.

The ship is fully equipped with modern diving facilities. There are on-board diving instructors and plenty of equipment for rent. Certified divers will have the opportunity to explore some of the best diving sites in the world, including the beautiful Apo Reef Natural Reserve and the famous Coron Bay World War II warship cemetery. Diving will take place in small groups consisting of 3-6 divers per instructor or dive master. You will have the possibility to make up to 12 dives (including 1 night dive) during the cruise.
