If you’re looking for a diving adventure in Indonesian waters, then SMY Ondina is always ready to give you the opportunity to explore the most exotic and remote islands of this unique country. A typical trip on this 32-meter long Indonesian pinisi not only includes up to 4 dives a day, but also various land excursions – whether you’re up for visits to fishermen villages or walks on deserted beaches, hiking up a steaming volcano or barbecuing on an uninhabited island, Ondina knows the best spots to satisfy your adventurous needs. She has offered trips through the Indonesian archipelago since 2001 and her routes cover the best diving in the area like: Komodo National Park, the Raja Ampat marine sanctuary and Cenderawasih bay off the Bird’s head peninsula in Papua, and the remote islands of the Banda sea, Maluku, Ambon, Halmahera and the Lembeh strait.
Ondina takes up to 16 guests on board, accommodating them in 8 air-conditioned cabins. 6 cabins have double beds and a single bed in bunk style and can accommodate up to 3 people by request, while 2 more cabins have a double bed, suitable for singles or couples. All cabins have individually controlled air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms with toilet facilities and warm showers, ample storage space under the bed and in floor-to-ceiling closets.
Common space on Ondina includes an air-conditioned dining-room, where meals consisting of Western and Indonesian food are served, a shaded open-air lounge with tables and chairs and a spacious sun-deck with sun-chairs and mattresses. For those looking for that extra bit of relaxation, a massage service is offered for an additional charge. And an on-board library, computer and multimedia center are offered for guests’ entertainment.
Ondina’s dive deck is specially designed by divers for divers. It is enclosed and provides an individual equipment station with a storage box for every diver. Extra toilet and hot shower is located here for guests’ convenience. Photographers are especially cared for with two padded camera rinse tanks and dedicated camera table, as well as charging stations for each guest. Three dinghies with outboard engines are used to get to and from the dive sites, two of them have side ladders for easier access. Nitrox is available for who would like to use it.
