Aquarius Diving Liveaboard in Central and Southern Maldives and Sri Lanka
Built in 1998 and completely refurbished in 2011, Aquarius is now sailing the waters of Indian Ocean, switching week-long routes between Maldives and Sri Lanka depending on the season: from January to June Aquarius is following a route in the south of Maldives between the remote Addu and Huvadhoo atolls, May through July are spent on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka, and from August until December the yacht is catching the best manta season in Central Maldives: Male, Baa, Rasdhoo and Ari. Aquarius is highly equipped with security tools and fit for high seas. Apart from usual on-board security, it features underwater stabilizers, automatically launched rescue islands, 3 independent steering systems and autopilot, wind meter, weather fax, yacht control system, board radio system and powerful search spotlights. In other words, Aquarius is fully prepared to go to the remotest atolls and sail in the waters which are far away from inhabited land.
The cozy interior design and teak floors assure the high level of comfort aboard the ship. Aquarius is ready to receive up to 16 guests each trip, providing a deluxe accommodation consisting of 8 twin cabins, each with two single beds. All the cabins are equipped with individual air-conditioning and have en-suite bathrooms with hot shower and bath towels.
Five star meals are served in a spacious restaurant, which doubles as a saloon with TV/DVD and wide-screen projector capabilities and a range of board games for divers to spend time between dives and meals. Favorite drinks can be purchased in a bar and Internet is available at and additional cost to those, who would like to keep in touch with their beloved back ashore. Water skiing, fishing equipment and underwater scooters are also provided at an additional charge.
All diving is performed from an accompanying Dhoni boat, where diving equipment stays between the dives. Aquarius is also ready for a full technical diving and rebreather support, but please inform about your requirements at the time of booking to insure that boat can prepare everything to meet your needs.
